Welcome to my humble corner of the internet!   Here there be geeking out about Doctor Who, Sherlock, biology, books, and whatever else has caught my eye at the moment.

If you're here looking for fannish things (fic, recs, meta, general squee or ranting, etc.), those are mostly posted publicly.  Posts about my personal life are pretty much always friendslocked.  You can feel free to add me or unfriend at will.  A comment introducing yourself would be a nice gesture, but don't feel obligated if you're shy.  I may or may not add you back depending on how I'm feeling that day on the social vs. crotchety scale and whether we have interests in common.  It's not a personal judgment.

Hi! I recently got back on LJ and am looking for new friends. Found you through merrymaia. I lean more towards Sherlock than Doctor Who, but I'm definitely fandomly inclined and I do perpertrate fanfic regularly.

Hello and welcome! I tend to have intentions of posting to LJ but then end up not being around all that much, so be warned. Still, I'm always happy to have more LJ friends to keep it lively around here. :)

These days I'm probably more fannish about Marvel (both the movies and certain comics) than either Sherlock or Doctor Who, but I am still at least somewhat involved with the fandoms of both of those shows.

Hey, I'm pretty into the Marvel movies myself, so that's cool! In fact, I'm looking for some pretty Avengers LJ-icons, you wouldn't happen to know someone who makes them and might, ahem, lend me some? Also, Sherlock icons. I don't have any of those, which is tragic.

It's tough to find good LJ icon makers around these days. I don't have a favorite maker of Avengers icons, though you could check the credits on my icon page for some places to start. For Sherlock, I like the icons made by house_of_london.
