Results seem to be in now, and I'm not as happy as I was about Iowa with the Democratic results. Looking on the bright side, in a way it's good because the race will still feel very much contested when other states get a chance to vote.The Republican results were somewhat more pleasing, since McCain is one of the very few Republican candidates I consider better than a sharp stick in the eye. However, I would still pick any of the Dems over him.
Obama's support is rather amazing. Even aside from his race, most people hadn't even heard of him before 2004. People like name brands, but he was an unknown until just a few years ago and his surname sounds like our most reviled terrorist. Folks just love him anyway. It's almost enough to make one wonder if he happens to own a satellite network transmitting drumbeats into our heads...
