Random personal facts meme

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, write an entry with 16 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 16 people to be tagged.
1. I am incompetent at several really basic skills most people learn as children. I can't ride a bike and I can barely swim (just enough to not drown if my canoe tipped over). I also can't whistle.
2. I once entered the country of Zambia illegally.
3. I absolutely love folk dancing. Mostly these days I go contra dancing because that's in my area, but in college I used to do English and Scottish country dance. This love for dancing is despite my being ridiculously uncoordinated.
4. I work with kids for my living and enjoy it, but I never want to have any of my own.
5. I'm vegetarian. Several years before quitting other kinds of meat, I stopped eating pork after seeing the movie Babe.
6. In South Africa, I bungee jumped off what I was told was the highest commercial bungee jump in the world (though the internet says that there are two jumps higher...maybe they're new?).
7. Talking on the telephone frightens me. It's totally irrational, but even for people I like I hate phoning and have to steel myself to make the call. Only my immediate family and maybe three close friends are exceptions. I think it's mostly the lack of visual cues in the conversation.
8. I make notes on the back of my hand.
9. Lately I've been having the urge to go to grad school, but I'm still not sure in what.
10. I'm pretty messy, but unwashed dishes drive me insane.
11. I think too much when writing things like emails or this meme. Consequentially they take forever.
12. I wear glasses. I've never had contacts, partly because the idea of putting something on my eyeball freaks me out and partly because I like the way my face looks with glasses.
13. I talk to myself. I also talk to inanimate objects and sing along to the music when driving alone.
14. I have a bad habit of trailing off in the middle of sentences because the second half is taking a little longer to get itself properly phrased and out of my mouth.
15. I am known for wearing interesting earrings and silly socks.
16. Unless I have huge difficulties or delays, I actually kind of like flying. Getting through the airport is a bit like a quest, then you get the thrill of actually getting to leave the ground. I prefer window seats so I can look out. Once, I saw a bundle of helium balloons drifting below the plane.
