Icon fun time
Here's an icon meme ganked from
isiscaughey.
1. Reply to this post with the word PIRATES (or NINJAS) and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including this info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never ending cycle of icon glee.
Anyone want to play?
Here are the icons
isiscaughey selected for me:

Sometimes, fandom can get pretty scary. What better to show the appropriately terrified reaction to such moments of insanity than an adorable kitten? This icon is a recent acquisition, but I am sadly sure there will be many occasions to use it. Made by

When Eleven was pressed up against the wall of Amelia's bedroom in The Eleventh Hour, I had fierce Doomsday flashbacks. I think I missed several lines because I was busy gibbering about it. Eleven has listened to walls several times during S5, and I never fail to think of Rose. I like the "what if?" question implied by this icon. While it is necessary and appropriate that canon has moved on, I will probably always carry a torch for the Doctor/Rose ship, whatever face he wears. By

The London Blitz seems to be second only to Miliways in the number of time travelers it attracts. Depending on when exactly during the Blitz Victory of the Daleks took place, there could be up to three Jacks in the UK at the time (doing the con from TEC/TDD, living the slow path as an immortal while waiting for the Doctor, transported back in time in Cardiff during Captain Jack Harkness...throw in original Captain Jack and you've got four). I like Eleven's head tilt in this picture, as if he's wondering "SEX TIEM NAO, Y/N?" I'm not sure why Amy looks so grouchy. Don't worry, Amy, Jack will share. Actually, the Doctor should consider that Jack is an immortal who knows how to work time travel technology. He could show up any time, anywhere in the universe! By

This is my Icon of Rassilon. The End of Time probably wins for the NuWho episode (well, pair of episodes) that caused the most laughs at times when I don't think the show wanted me to laugh, and the Spittle of Rassilon was definitely one of those moments. I love cartoon Rassilon's grumpy face as well as the caption. Icon by

I like weird animals, including most insects. Caterpillars are some of my favorites. My first job after college involved raising caterpillars in the name of science. This little guy was from the illumination in some centuries-old book. Icon by
semyaza .

Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine throw vocabulary words at each other! I think it originated with an interview conducted around the release of the Star Trek reboot, wherein Zach and Chris threw around impressive words in context. Folks at
ontd_startrek , where I used to hang out occasionally (MUCH nicer than the regular ontd) decided that this was awesome. I occasionally find this icon useful in matters of the English language, contests, people showing their smarts, and of course Star Trek. by
