They would absolutely be fooled by a grail-shaped beacon

Having just watched Merlin S1 episodes 6 & 7, I get the feeling that if Arthur and Uther were alive today, they would be forever sending money to Nigerians they met online.  Those guys will believe all sorts of random strangers, plus Merlin's really bad lies.

This is an amazing observation.

Arthur and Uther, proud owners of the Brooklyn Bridge. Winners of the "International Lottery." Advocates of the unnamed Spanish Prisoner.

XD

I just finished watching "Battlefield," the Dr. Who episode where King Arthur characters from another dimension invade England and think Seven in Merlin. Not that this has a lot to do with your post. But at one point, Morgane accuses Seven of being a "prince of lies." He's not actually lying, just telling the truth in a somewhat manipulative fashion.

Oooh, that sounds exciting! I'd heard something about Seven being Merlin, and now I know where to find it.

I re-watched MP & The Holy Grail when I first started watching Merlin, and I kind of wanted a crossover, after that...

Camelot in Merlin is most definitely a silly place. I would be entirely unsurprised if this fic already exists somewhere on the Internet.
