I have only seen the third episode of this series (hey, it was showing at Comic-Con, so why not, eh?) and I really, really couldn't get into it AT ALL. The premise was horrifying and I really disliked so many of the characters (mainly Rex, yeah, and in the episode I saw it was almost all about him). It felt empty of emotion and really the only thing that carried me through it was Gwen Cooper (and INTENSELY amazing performance given to us in the crowd by John Barrowman's incredibly charismatic live surprise introduction to the show at Comic-Con).

Would I do better with it watching it from the beginning? I really want to like it, but except for Gwen it kinda didn't feel like Torchwood to me. :/
