Great review. I'm happy to see the Gwen-love. So much of TW fandom now is filled with Gwen hate and I just don't get that because she is totally awesome. I also hated to see Vera go. I could finally see a team coming together once she arrived. I'd been spoiled that something like this would happen to her and for once I'm glad I was prepared. You are right, Rex has severe testosterone poisioning. I love the way Jack got him back with the gay lover send-off! But I softened a bit with the look of hurt resignation on his face when he couldn't save Vera. It seems he finally cared for someone else and it was too late. I hope that doesn't have an adverse reaction on the character.
