fic summary meme!
Ganked this from
jlrpuck :
There is a feature on Microsoft Word that will automatically "summarize" your document. Open any story of yours - Nano or otherwise - and have Word summarize it for you. Click on Tools / AutoSummarize, and then tell it to present your summary in ten sentences. Have the sentences open in a new document. Post the result in your own LJ, and spread the fun.
For "What country, friends, is this?":
My Doctor. Right. Time to run again.
“Doctor!” Right. The Doctor was wearing 3D glasses. Oh, my poor Doctor, I thought. Even the Doctor was chuckling. “Doctor, I’m sorry. The Doctor shaded his eyes and looked.
Comments: Hilariously accurate! Most of the stories I tried with this ended up with totally nonsensical summaries (see below), but this actually captures a lot about the story in a minimalist sort of way.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
For "Path of Needles":
Rose waited. “Rose!” “Doctor.” “Doctor? “Doctor? Rose stared. “Rose?”
“Rose? Rose laughed.
“Doctor!
Comments: Hilariously repetitive! This is like a conversation between two hard-of-hearing old people. Who knew my fairy tale was so dialog-intensive?
