Actually it's been killing me because I too am in the last of the line for seeing the episodes this year. :( Loved the whole reaction to Jenny so very typically Doctor and I could have just kissed Martha (and I don't do girls) for her tenacious and sensible approach to dealing with his issues with is daughter.
As to the Genetics thing, I think probably it was just that it never dawned on any of them that they weren't just like every other human they had ever seen. As to why not do Martha and Donna it may be that only males were able to be cloned off and the females just were a occasional side product (works as good as any for a theory) and RL practical it would have just been too people heavy to try to juggle that many new one off characters and seriously blunted the effect of the Doctor suddenly no longer being the last of his kind.
Thought it was quite interesting that Jenny didn't actually regenerate just kind of got better which makes me wonder either A) if she was just so 'new' having just been born that day that she was able to regrown the damaged area like the doc did with his hand or B) if because of the cloning process it just affected how she regenerated or C) if it was a way to reference the indication 8 gave that his mother was human. Over all liked it just hope that at some point they get to meet up again think it could make for some interesting dynamics and if nothing else give the audience a warm fuzzy knowing the doc wasn't all alone even if he didn't know it leaving the door open for them to meet up again later. Though how sucky could you get if they/she found out the hard way that the Master wasn't actually dead.
